After months of rumors, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has married The Family Man co-creator Raj Nidimoru in a traditional Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony.
The private wedding was held at the Linga Bhairavi Devi shrine at Sadhguru’s Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, with only close friends in attendance. The couple shared their wedding photos on social media.
Samantha took to Instagram to share the first pictures from her intimate wedding. The actress looked radiant in a red saree adorned with intricate zari work, paired with elegant gold jewellery. Raj complemented her perfectly in a white kurta set layered with a beige Nehru jacket. Before the ceremony, the couple exchanged rings and posed joyfully for the cameras. In one of the photos, Samantha proudly showed off her stunning wedding ring.
Rumours about Samantha and Raj’s relationship began circulating in early 2024, especially after the actress appeared to soft-launch the filmmaker on Instagram through a series of subtle posts. Although speculation grew steadily, neither of them made any public statement confirming their equation.
The two first worked together on The Family Man Season 2 in 2021, where Samantha delivered a highly acclaimed performance. Their professional partnership continued with Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Varun Dhawan, which reportedly brought them even closer.
Relationship rumours escalated earlier this year when Samantha posted photos from the World Pickleball League. In several images, she was seen seated beside Raj in the stands, cheering for her team, the Chennai Super Champs—fueling fresh speculation about the nature of their bond.
If reports are to be believed, this would mark a second marriage for both individuals. Samantha was earlier married to actor Naga Chaitanya; the couple wed in 2017 and announced their separation in 2021. Naga Chaitanya later married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in 2024. Raj was previously married to Sshyamali De, with reports indicating their separation in 2022.
The couple tied the knot in a sacred Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony at the Linga Bhairavi Devi shrine within Coimbatore's Isha Yoga Center. Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony is a unique consecration process designed to forge a deep elemental bond between partners beyond thought, emotion, or physicality, explained a release from Isha Centre. It cleanses the five elements within the couple and their union, invoking Devi's grace for harmony, prosperity, and spiritual alignment in their shared life journey.
