Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has become a box office sensation! It has surpassed The Mugen Train in global box office earnings. New records are being established, and the next major goal is to become the 4th highest-grossing film worldwide in 2025!

Many are aware that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is striving to outdo The Mugen Train and become the highest-grossing film in Japan's history. As reported by Luiz Fernando, Akaza’s Return earned $1.9 million in its third weekend. This represented a 37% decline from the previous weekend, largely due to fierce competition from Chainsaw Man, 5 Centimeter Per Second, Kokuho, and various other local releases.
The domestic earnings of the second highest-grossing film in Japan have soared to $245.8 million (¥36.25 billion). Akaza’s Return has achieved 25.1 million admissions, making it the second most-viewed film ever at the Japanese box office.

According to the most recent update, the total amount in the US has reached $128.6 million. Drumroll, please! Haruo Sotozaki’s direction has officially overtaken Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ($128.1 million) to become the highest-grossing international film ever!

Surpassing $650 million globally!

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has gathered $280.6 million from international markets, including South Korea and Taiwan. The total worldwide now rises to $655 million.

Akaza’s Return is now the fifth highest-grossing film of 2025 at the global box office. It needs to maintain a strong momentum to take the fourth position from Jurassic World Rebirth, which has made $867.9 million.

As of October 12, 2025, the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle film has grossed $648 million worldwide ($128.6M domestic, $519M international). It's the highest-grossing non-English international film ever in the US, surpassing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon's 25-year record, and the film of 2025 globally.
