Keerthiswaran's Dude, which was released on Friday, October 17, in advance of the Diwali 2025 celebrations, has caused a stir at the box office. The weekend appeared more promising for the regional film, which had recovered from a single-digit opening day. Dude's weekend total came to Rs 21 crore after collecting Rs 10.4 crore on its first Saturday and another Rs 10.6 crore on Sunday. Dude's box office receipts on Monday approached Rs 11 crore, with a 2% increase in Tamil and a minor decline in Telugu. Sacnilk claims that Dude's domestic receipts, however, exceeded Rs 41 crore. Additionally, according to the industry tracker, Pradeep Ranganathan's Dude won over many hearts in Tamil Nadu.
On its fourth day, Dude made ₹7.9 crore from 340 screens around Tamil Nadu, a 19% rise over the previous day, according to box office tracker Cinetrak. On the holiday, the movie's occupancy rate in tracked theatres was 67%. According to industry estimates, the actual total collection in Tamil Nadu is at ₹31.25 crore, while the four-day tracked gross is ₹25.99 crore. The movie made ₹43 lakh from 93 theatres in Karnataka on Monday, bringing its four-day total to ₹2.3 crore. Its anticipated actual gross was ₹3.5 crore.

Pradeep Ranganathan has solidified his spot as a bankable star in the Tamil film industry after giving several Rs 100-crore grosses. The Ashwath Marimuthu directorial, Dragon (2025), also became a big hit for Ranganathan with a Rs 150 crore lifetime collection.
