Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan join forces for Athiradi; the title teaser has been released

Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan are joining forces for Athiradi, marking the directorial debut of Arun Anirudhan, who co-wrote Minnal Murali and Padayottam.

On Saturday, the creators unveiled a title teaser showcasing the three main actors.

The 1.49-minute teaser kicks off with Vineeth's character boosting Basil and Tovino, who appear to be rivals. Basil is portrayed as a trendy modern guy in a pub setting, while Tovino is seen in traditional mundu attire at a temple festival. They exchange barbs over the phone, culminating in Vineeth's eerie smile and the iconic Kamal Haasan line 'Arambikkalangala'. Although full-scale filming has yet to begin, the title teaser hints at an entertaining action film.

Athiradi represents the first production from the newly established Basil Joseph Entertainment and Dr Ananthu Entertainment, the latter led by Dr Ananthu S, the founder and CEO of Xylem Learning. Arun Anirudhan has penned the script alongside Paulson Skaria, who co-wrote Neymar and Kaathal. The film's technical team includes music director Vishnu Vijay, editor Samuel Henry, and editor Chaman Chakko.

Currently, Tovino is filming for Padayottam, directed by Dijo Jose Antony. His other upcoming projects include Avaran by debut director Shilpa Alexander, Munpe by Saiju Sreedharan, a new film by Muhsin Parari featuring Nazriya Nazim, and Lokah Chapter 2.

Basil, who recently made a cameo in Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad's Hridayapoorvam, is also involved in Sudha Kongara's Tamil film Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who has been occupied with his directorial project Karam for the past few months, is also set to appear in the upcoming Dileep film Bha Bha Ba.
