The movie, set to release in theaters on December 26, continues the story from 2022's "Avatar: The Way of Water," which won an Academy Award for best visual effects and received nominations in three additional categories. Both films follow the legacy of the original "Avatar," which revolutionized the film industry in 2009, captivating viewers with its groundbreaking special effects and shattering box office records.

The upcoming film guarantees new tensions as the Sully family, led by Marine-turned-Na'vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Na'vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), confronts a rival tribe. This conflict unfolds amidst breathtaking visuals, aligning with the film's title as the characters engage in battles within icy blue oceans while trying to evade fiery explosions.

"Avatar" continues to hold the title of the highest-grossing film ever, raking in $2.9 billion globally, followed closely by "Avengers: Endgame" at $2.8 billion and "The Way of Water" at $2.3 billion, which occupy the second and third spots, respectively.

The film "Fire and Ash" is the third installment in the five-part "Avatar" series, with additional sequels anticipated to be released in 2029 and 2031.
